Tips for Coming Up with New Fiverr Gig Ideas

So, you want to create a new Fiverr gig. You want something that is profitable and guaranteed to bring in plenty of money each month.

Where do you come up with your ideas? What type of things can you do for your new Fiverr gig?

The truth is anything can sell. There is some truth in the same: “one man’s junk is another man’s treasure”. The trick is to create something that is valuable and worth the $5 (if not more) while doing something that you enjoy.

Here are some of my tips for finding new Fiverr gig ideas.

Make a List of the Things You’re Good At

Start by making a list of all the things that you’re good at doing. This doesn’t have to be something technical. It could be making a craft to send, designing logos or even marketing ideas. Write everything that you can or would like to do with the skills that you have.

Now you can make a mark against those that you could turn into a Fiverr business. Treat each new Fiverr gig as a new branch of your business.

For example, I started with the writing gig. From there, I branched out to offering rewriting, sales copy, reviews and transcription services. I took the one thing that I’m really good at and broke it down into things that I can do for $5.

Check the Different Categories for New Fiverr Gig Ideas

Go through the different categories and subcategories on the website. This gives you the chance to see what people are currently offering.

Don’t copy their gigs but use it as a way to build ideas. See what they’re doing for $5 to see if you can compete. That doesn’t mean you have to undercut them. There are plenty of Fiverr sellers offering 500+ words for $5 but I stick to 400. Why? Because I offer the quality and want to focus on that.

If you’re offering quality, people will start to come to you because they’re willing to pay a little extra.

Checking the categories will also help you see if your idea has been done before and whether it is a profitable one—do you see Fiverr buyers purchasing the similar gigs or not bother?

Think About Your Current Hobbies

Can you turn your hobbies into a new Fiverr gig? This is something that many people overlook because they think their hobby is just a pastime.

I know one person who makes videos and it all started from a hobby of playing around with video editing software at home. There are many Fiverr sellers like that.

The best thing about one of these gigs is that it is going to be fun. It might not work out profitable though so you do have to consider that. Break your hobby down into $5 increments to make sure it is valuable to the buyer but worthwhile for you.

That’s just three ideas to turn create a new Fiverr gig. I run through a few other ideas in my new eBook “How to Make Money on Fiverr”, which is now available on Amazon.

Good luck and have fun!
